PRIVACY POLICY
Privacy policy
This policy explains what personal data the website collects, why, and your rights. It follows the EU GDPR.
Data controller
The controller of your personal data is SILK SOFTWARE HOUSE Sp. z o.o., Generała Zajączka 30 / 1, 01-510 Warszawa, Poland. Privacy contact: hello@openlinker.io.
What we collect and why
Newsletter: your email address (to send the OpenLinker newsletter). Inquiry and design-partner forms: your name, company, email, and message (to respond and follow up). Analytics: Google Analytics 4 — page views and aggregate engagement data across openlinker.io and docs.openlinker.io, collected only after you accept analytics cookies in the cookie banner. Until you accept, no Google script is loaded and nothing is sent to Google at all.
Legal basis
Newsletter: your consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)). Inquiry forms: legitimate interest in responding to your message (Art. 6(1)(f)). Analytics: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a)), given via the cookie banner and withdrawable at any time from “Cookie preferences” in the footer.
Retention
Newsletter: until you withdraw consent via the unsubscribe link in every email. Inquiry forms: up to 24 months from the last correspondence. Analytics: user-level and event-level Google Analytics data is set to expire after 14 months, which is the retention we configure on the property; aggregate reporting in Google Analytics is kept for longer.
Who we share data with
Resend (email delivery; USA, under Standard Contractual Clauses). Cloudflare or our hosting provider (infrastructure). For analytics, visitors in the EEA and the UK contract with Google Ireland Limited, which acts as our processor, with onward transfer to Google LLC in the USA under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework / Standard Contractual Clauses. We do not sell your data and do not share it for advertising.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to: access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability, objection, and withdrawal of consent at any time. You may also lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority (in Poland: the President of the Personal Data Protection Office, PUODO). To exercise any right, contact hello@openlinker.io.
Cookies
Strictly necessary local storage: your theme preference. Strictly necessary cookie: “ol_consent” stores your cookie choice (the value “v1:accepted” or “v1:rejected”), is set on the .openlinker.io domain, and expires after 12 months, so that we do not ask you again. Analytics cookies, set only if you accept them in the cookie banner: Google Analytics (_ga, _ga_<container-id>) to measure aggregate site traffic; rejecting or withdrawing consent deletes them. Your choice applies to both openlinker.io and docs.openlinker.io, because the “ol_consent” cookie is shared across the openlinker.io domain. Accept, decline, or change your choice anytime via “Cookie preferences” in the footer.
Demo application (app.demo.openlinker.io)
The live demo runs on a separate subdomain and has its own data practices, distinct from this website. Its processor is PostHog (EU Cloud, data stored in the European Union), reached through our own m7g.demo.openlinker.io endpoint. Campaign attribution: if you open the demo sign-in or sign-up page from a campaign link (for example an email invite), we log a single anonymous event containing the campaign name, the page address, and the referring page, so we can tell which channels bring visitors to the demo. That event sets no cookie, creates no profile, and is not linked to your account or email address; the page itself also tells you about it at the moment it happens. Usage analytics and session recording: the consent checkbox is unticked when you register, and you can change your choice at any time under Settings. While it is on, we collect page views, interactions, and a recording that replays your on-screen actions in the demo. Passwords are masked and never recorded, but other text you type or view can be, so please do not put real customer data into the demo. While it is off, no analytics script is loaded at all, nothing is recorded, and no analytics cookies are set. Legal basis: your consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)) for usage analytics and session recording, withdrawable at any time; legitimate interest in measuring campaign reach (Art. 6(1)(f)) for the single attribution event, which builds no profile. All the rights listed above apply here too.
Changes
This policy may change. Material changes are announced in the newsletter and reflected in the “last updated” date above.
