DPD Polska integration

When the DPD courier arrives, your handover list is already waiting

You select the ready orders, and DPD shipments are created together with the handover list. The address and phone number come from the order, and the tracking number goes by itself to the marketplace the order came from.

To get started you need:a DPD Polska contractan API login, password and FID number from your DPD account manager

for the courier

In short. OpenLinker is open-source order management software with a 0 zł licence that creates DPD Polska shipments on your own contract, up to 25 in one step, together with the handover list for the courier. It takes the address and phone number from the order, and the tracking number goes back by itself to where the order came from: the marketplace, PrestaShop or Shoper.

Sound familiar?

Address after address into the DPD panel

Name, street, postcode, phone. You copy from the order, paste into the DPD panel and go back for the next one. On a Friday you do it more than a hundred times.

The handover list at the last minute

The courier is already at the door, and you’re only just collecting tracking numbers from the panel and printing the handover list.

The tracking number goes back by hand

You copy it from DPD to the order in the shop and on the marketplace. One slips through, and the customer writes asking where their parcel is.

Friday: 140 DPD parcels, courier at 15:00

  1. 10:30141 orders with DPD delivery are waiting on the list. You select them in batches of 25 and get 6 batches with PDF handover lists. The window sets aside one unpaid order.
  2. 11:30Packing. You print a label for each parcel, and the tracking number is already on the order and in the sales channel.
  3. 15:00The DPD courier collects 140 parcels and 6 handover lists to sign. Statuses appear on the orders.

What OpenLinker does for you

  • Selected ordersYou create shipments for 25 orders from one channel at once. The address and phone come from the order, the weight and dimensions from the rule for the delivery method.
  • Missing address or paymentThe shipping window sets such an order aside and shows the reason. The rest of the batch goes ahead.
  • Cash on delivery orderYou send it separately, and the cash on delivery amount comes from the order.
  • Shipment createdThe tracking number is on the order straight away, and the order is marked as shipped in the shop and on the marketplaces.

Your DPD contract, your rates

OpenLinker sends parcels on your DPD account. You pay DPD what your contract says, and OpenLinker adds nothing per parcel.

One list of orders, and every parcel goes on the right contract. You set this up once in your shipping rules.

You don’t have to take our word for it

You can check each of these yourself before you connect anything.

  • No double cash on deliveryIf the connection to DPD drops while a shipment is being created, OpenLinker doesn’t blindly retry it. No second parcel with a second cash on delivery charge gets created.See the DPD integration code

What you’ll pay each month

You pay nothing for the OpenLinker licence, however much you sell. You pay for the server, and its price grows with your traffic, not with each order.

Who helps you

From setup to API changes, at every stage you know who is looking after it.

  1. At the start

    Getting set up

Who: You, a partner or us

You get a setup wizard and a step-by-step guide. If you’d rather not do it yourself, an implementation partner or we will set it up. We’ll set it up for you

  2. When something stops working

    Support under an SLA

    Who: Us

You can report an outage that stops your sales at any time, weekends included. We take technical questions on working days from 9:00 to 17:00 and reply on the next working day. SLA levels

  3. When DPD or a marketplace changes something

    Updates

    Who: Us

We adapt the integration to API changes, and the fix ships in the next OpenLinker release. You install it yourself, or a partner or we do it for you.

Your installation belongs to you: it runs on your server, your orders and customer data sit in your database, and the code is open under the Apache 2.0 licence.

How to get started

  1. Ask your DPD account manager for an API login, password and FID number, and for shipment tracking.
  2. In OpenLinker, enter those details and your sender address.
  3. In your shipping rules, set a default parcel weight and send your first shipment.

Your sender postcode must match your street, because DPD checks it on every parcel.

Rather not do it yourself? We’ll set it up for you. Step-by-step guide.

Questions about the DPD integration

Do I pay more when I ship more?

No. The licence costs 0 zł however many parcels you send, and OpenLinker takes nothing per shipment. The server cost depends on all the traffic in your shop, not on a single parcel.

Can I send a parcel to DPD Pickup?

Yes. When the pickup point came with the order, the parcel goes there. When it didn’t, you enter the point code in the shipment form.

Can I use several carriers at once?

Yes. You connect them in one installation, and the rule for the delivery method decides which orders go to DPD and which to another carrier.

Can I send Allegro Standard shipments on my own DPD contract?

No, because since 22 August 2024 Allegro has required them to go on Allegro’s contract. You send them through the Allegro integration in OpenLinker. Your DPD contract carries parcels from the shop, from other marketplaces and from Allegro listings outside Standard.
